The Effingham County Sheriff's Office is now offering virtual inmate legal visits to better accommodate attorney's and their clients during the pandemic through the use of Zoom Room software.
Each cell block has it's own dedicated room where these meetings will take place. Each room will have its own schedule, which means more availability and the ability to have multiple legal visits going on at the same time in different parts of the facility. The recording feature on these devices is disabled by default. Also screen sharing is turned on by default so that the attorney can share documents, videos, evidence, or any other material that needs to be reviewed by the client.
There are also two private zoom stations that have been set up in the visitation area at the front of the facility for attorneys to use if needed but these meetings can just as easily be joined from your office or home using a computer, laptop, or cell phone.
Click the link below to schedule your meeting. We ask that all meeting requests be submitted by 6:00PM the day before the meeting is to take place. You'll receive meeting details by email after 6:00PM. If you have an urgent need for a same day pre-court meeting please click the email link below and include the details of your request.
