We process marriage licenses until 4 p.m. An appointment must be made to apply for a marriage license.
Requirements
The applicants must be 18 years or older and have picture identification with their birth date listed. Parental consent is needed for 16 and 17 year olds.
Both applicants may fill out the application in person at the Probate Court office or the application may be completed online at http://georgiaprobaterecords.com/. You will let the clerk know that you have completed your application online upon arrival for your appointment. An appointment must be made to apply for a marriage license.
No blood test is required for a marriage license.

Photo Identification
If previously married, you will need a copy of your divorce papers' final decree with the judge's signature or death certificate of previous spouse.
Certification of completion of qualifying premarital counseling. (Optional)

With certificate of counseling: $36
Without counseling: $76
We accept all forms of payment; cash (no bills larger than $20), check, or money orders, credit/debit cards.
